Review Wednesday (Thursday Edition)

Rating = GREAT

I'm a day late with my review of Sherlock Holmes:  A Game of Shadows.  Why you ask? Well because I've been trying to figure out how to express my feelings about it.

Robert Downey Jr. is in it.  Enough said.  See it.

If that's not enough, those who know me, understand that when I go to a movie, I like to "escape" for an hour or two.   This means - I want to forget about the bad day/week/month  I'm having and sit back and enjoy myself. I want a movie to extract some emotion from me.  This movie exceeded all my expectations.

The banter between Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law hands-down made the movie for me.  It's a true BROmance. It's a comedy, an action movie, a love story and a mystery.

You could say that at any given time I felt excited, intense, humored, incredible, cheerful, attractive, puzzled, restful, stressed, suspenseful, expensive, dazzled, brutal, appealing, confident, concerned, jealous, quick, sexy, edgy, stunning, dark, unbelievable, sullen, angry, sad, awed.

The video below captures a lot of the emotions - but in particular, I love the part where they are running through the woods and it becomes slow motion and you see the bullets hitting the trees, shredding and splitting them.  This scene is pure awesomeness to me.

Madam Simza Heron: What do you see?
Sherlock Holmes: Everything. That is my curse.
 (movie depicts this perfectly)

And my FAVORITE quote of the movie:

Sherlock Holmes: I can't remember when I last had a hedgehog goulash... this delicious.
Dr. John Watson: We never had a hedgehog goulash.

I'm giggling as I type. Hehe

Okay - maybe I just like witty humor a little too much - but do yourself a favor - see the movie.
