Linking up with Megan over at Mackey Madness for another edition of Sometimes and Always.  If you haven't stopped by her blog - do it - she's great!

Sometimes I try to be more organized (i.e., calendar kid’s activities, school day offs, meal plans, etc.)
I always end up just barely staying on top of it all.  It’s just how I roll.

Sometimes I have big plans for my kids’ birthday parties.
I  end up running out of time, but we always end up having tons of fun anyways.

Sometimes I wish I had more time to volunteer at my kids’ schools.
I’m always glad that I’m the “Class Party Mom” and get to organize and attend every party.  They are so much fun.

Sometimes I get really, really, really, really angry that I had breast cancer.
I’m always grateful that I am a survivor, and I now know being bald isn’t all that bad! Who knew?

Sometimes I wish I was a better cook.
I know it is okay, because I’m always learning - stop by tomorrow to see how I did at making Crock Pot Pine Nut Meatballs.

New Years Blog Party Reveal

I had the pleasure of participating in another Blogger Swap which was hosted by The Crowley Party, Casey Leigh and Changing Lanes.   I was paired up with Ashley of the The Big White Farmhouse

After an email exchange of "getting to know you" questions, I immediately went over to blog-stalk her and was extremely impressed.  She has a beautiful blog. It is apparent that Ashley is not only an amazing mother and wife, she is an amazing person. She has a generous heart and encourages her reader’s to make a difference in their own lives and communities.

Since I'm just like a little kid when it comes to receiving presents, I immediately opened my package and failed to take pictures of the UNOPENED gift!

I'm excited to share what I received:

As you can see from her handwritten note, she is so sweet and thoughtful. The Ticket Stub Diary is absolutely perfect for me.  I go to the movies at least once a week, so it will be nice to have a diary to jot down notes to help with my movie reviews and to remember all of the highlights of my evening.  The bowling themed tissue cozy is just too cute, and I love that she is supporting small-business by purchasing it on etsy!

Thanks again to Ashley for the great gifts!  She totally nailed it!

Now scoot on over and visit Ashley to see what I sent her, and while you are there look around, because I am sure you will want to follow along as her family and blog grow!

Thumbs Up Monday

Today I’m giving 4 thumbs up!

The first one is to me for being in 1st place OVERALL in my weight loss competition – with a 4.77% weight loss percentage.  Also, won my side bet weigh-in with a co-worker.  Yes, I’m on a roll!

The second one is to getting FREE Scentsy products by co-hosting a party with my lovely sister.  I really didn’t do anything but show up, but she is just too sweet and is sharing the credits with me.  Love her.

The third one is for the Tigers signing Prince Fielder.  This is HUGE news her in Michigan.

And finally, the fourth one is for the 90 minute massage I bought myself.  Yes, I totally deserve it.

What are you giving a thumb up to this week?

So I Keep Trying to Find....

the perfect dark colored nail polish for ME!  I see sooooooo many people wearining dark polish and it looks awesome.  I have about 10 different (non-black) dark polishes and none of them compliment my skin tone.  UGH!  I'm thinking of just giving up.  What do you say?

Color:  OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
OPI Description:  Where Midnight Meets Purple

The purplish tint didn't really show up on my nails.  Looked mostly black.

What's your favorite dark polish?

What Do You Think?

On Tuesday night, after seeing Haywire, Jenny Jenny, Chrissy and I were in the restroom and the conversation went something like this:
Chrissy:   I met some random in a bar the other night and he asked me out.
Me:   Cool

Chrissy:  Is it bad that I don’t want to go out with him now because he had a flip phone?
Me:  (laughing hysterically) Huh? What?  You mean when he got your number, you noticed he was using a flip phone?

Chrissy:  Yeah.  Is that horrible of me?

Me:   Why, because you figure he’s lame because he doesn’t have a cool phone?
Jenny:   Maybe his iPhone fell into water and he’s just using it until he can get a new one.

Me:  Maybe it’s his work phone or something.   Who knows?
Chrissy:    Well if this was 2003 I’d be all over him – but it’s not.  Plus, all I can think of is every time he texts me I just picture him with his little flip phone pushing all those little buttons.  It must be exhausting for him.

We all had a good laugh, I made fun of her for a while and the conversation ended.
Later that night, we had a nice texting convo about it and it went like this:

Chrissy:  Do I give flip phone man a chance?
Me:   Where you drunk when you met him?

Chrissy:    Yes
Me:  Was he hot?

Chrissy:   He’s cute and he’s been quite nice.
Me:   Well he sounds worth the one date thing you got going on.

Chrissy:   Ha ha true.  And he came up with a plan on his own.  I admire a man for that.  Though I can’t eat but I can eat fajitas.

Me:   What did he plan?

Chrissy:  Dinner at a Mexican restaurant and drinks.  Drinks after.
Me:  Why not then?

Chrissy:  That seems like a long time to be stuck with him.
Me:  LOL – True

This is where our convo ended.  I’m not sure what she decided.
It got me thinking though.  This whole situation is like some Kate Hudson movie.  You know the kind of movie where:

Girl meets Boy at bar. Girl’s not sure about going out with boy for one reason or another (seems like a player, doesn’t have a job, etc.).  Girl goes for it.
Now – this is where the story can get interesting.  I give you the two scenarios I see:

A)      Boy ends up being a douche bag, she has a horrible evening and he sticks her with the check.

Or

B)      Boy ends up being super rich and successful, has a hot body to boot, and they live happily ever after.
What do you think?  She should go out with him?  Does the flip phone sway you one way or another?

Now what I meant when I said “he sounds worth the one date thing you got going on”  -  she has come to the conclusion that basically after one date, you kind of know if it’s gonna be a good thing or not. Why waste time going out again?
Now I want to make it super clear, Chrissy is one of my best friends and the only reason this conversation took place is because she talks this way with ME.  Everyone reading this knows that you can say things like this to your best friend because you know she won’t judge you.

I actually give her credit for being able to openly discuss her qualifications for dating a guy.  The mother side of me is happy that she is like this.

When I think about what kind of man I want for Ashley, I know that above all else, he must love her and put her needs first.  I’m not saying that money will ensure this.  But it is my hope if she decides she wants to be a SAHM, than she should be able too.  I want her to have the security that money can bring.
I think this is all that Chrissy is looking for too.

I don’t see anything wrong with wanting or expecting the man to be a provider.  I commend her for not wanting to string him along.  Why should she go out with him if she has no intention of being in a relationship with him?  Why should she settle for someone that she is not going to be happy with?  It doesn’t mean she is shallow or a gold digger, it just means she respects herself and refuses to lower the standards she wants for her life.
This GurleeGirrl says YOU GO GIRL!

I’m hoping that Chrissy’s fairytale comes true.  And hey – her Prince could very well be Flip Phone Guy.

So What! Wednesday

Linking up over at Shannon's blog Life After I "Dew" for:

So What! ...

...if I’ve been getting my “second wind” after 9:30pm.  At least I’m feeling energized since I started this new diet, and I end up playing a ton of Words with Friends!

...if I had to eat my Red Robin burger sans the bun.  It was still awesome stacked between to wedges of lettuce.  Really it was!

...if I keep putting off filling out the paperwork to send my kids to Camp Kesem this summer.  Although they love it, I know I will miss them so much.

...if I cry almost every day while watching TV.  I know it’s make-believe, but since I had effing cancer, everything touches me a little deeper.

...if it has taken me more than 2 months to pick out a new pair of black boots.  I’ve definitely got it narrowed down to 10 3 styles.

What are YOU saying So What! to today?

Review Wednesday - Haywire

We began the night at Mongolian BBQ.  For those of you who are not familiar with Mongo, you basically get to create your own "feast" from a variety of meats and seafood, fresh veggies & flavor-packed sauces, freshly cooked before your eyes (Mongolian-style) on a large, flat grill!  It's totally on the top of my favorite restaurant list.

It's also become a slight obsession to create the largest bowl possible - without losing any of my "fixings" before I can get it to the grill.

Mongo would prefer to start your bowl with your meat choice, then add your veggies - this would be because you really can't pack a whole lot of veggies on top of a pile of meat - so you won't use as much meat.  Well for YEARS this is how I would create my masterpiece.  I was happy.

Then, one fine day, I happened to notice a bunch of guys waiting for their bowls to be placed on the grill.  And these were not just your normal size/type of bowls - these geniuses had the biggest bowls I had ever seen.  How you ask?  Because they figured out that you could pack a TON of fresh veggies in a bowl, then secure them in with a TON of meat that acts like a glue to keep everything in place!!!

Well since that day, I have been a "backwards bowler".  That's right.  I try to cram as much as I can, to the point where I feel I border ridiculousness.  However, I am not wasteful.  I plan for a "take-home" container to get an extra lunch or dinner out of it.  And for $12.99 for one bowl at dinner - I really don't think I am ripping them off.  How do you think I did?  Now keep in mind - this is AFTER the grilling process.  I am way too embarrassed to show you the crazy-tall uncooked bowl - I'll save that one for another time.

Being the "good dieter" that I am, I chose to use lettuce wraps versus their incredibly awesome tortillas.  Also - they offer brown or white rice - which I skipped too.  I might have overdone it with the garlic and cayenne pepper - because it was pretty firey - but it was delish!

Now on to the movie.  The movie of the week was Haywire.  This was not my particular pick - but after a quick view of the trailer - I discovered that Channing Tatum was in it - so I figured why not? - at least there will be some eye candy....

In case you have no idea what Haywire is about:

According to IMDb -

Beautiful freelance covert operative Mallory Kane is hired out by her handler to various global entities to perform jobs which governments can't authorize and heads of state would rather not know about. After a mission to rescue a hostage in Barcelona, Mallory is quickly dispatched on another mission to Dublin. When the operation goes awry and Mallory finds she has been double crossed, she needs to use all of her skills, tricks and abilities to escape an international manhunt, make it back to the United States, protect her family, and exact revenge on those that have betrayed her.

Movie begins at the ending (presumably) of the story, then begins piecing the past together scene by scene.  It is FULL of crazy fighting scenes.  Yes, Miss Mallory Kane can kick some serious ass!  The fights are totally choreographed - sometimes to the point it looked super fake to me.  The score of the movie played a heavy role - it was almost a character in my opinion.  It was kinda like a jazzy Pink Panther-like song was playing during a lot of the scenes.  I think some of  The Posse liked it, while Chrissy and I found it quite distracting.

The Posse

On to my rating - I would say Haywire was OK (Good).  It didn't blow me away.  I did cringe a few times (during the fight scenes) and there were some surprise moments that made me jump in my seat.  It wasn't over-the-top gruesome or anything - although it could have been with all the crazy fighting scenes.  I definitely think that for the $7.50 I paid, I was entertained.

Before I wrap this up, I just wanted to note that I am BEYOND excited that The Hunger Games will be released in about 2 more months!!

Movie Poster at AMC Livonia.

Something else I discovered - did you all realize that Troy Bolton Zac Efron is all grown up?!?!?!?  Holy Cow!  His High School Musical days are far behind him!   He will be the lead hottie in the upcoming movie The Lucky One

Oh, did I mention it just happens to be another movie taken from a Nicholas Sparks book?  So you know it's gonna be a great love story.  I for one, can not wait!

And let me just say, during the trailer for that movie, most of the ladies felt like they were the "Lucky Ones".  This trailer played before the viewing of Joyful Noise, which I just happened to take my 10-year old daughter to see.  Talk about awkward.  At one point we see him in his underpants and then we see her hand go - well you can see for yourself!  My eyes bugged out and shot to my daughter to see her reaction.  Luckily she was much more interested in her bag of popcorn, frozen Coke and box of Whoppers to even pay attention.  Phew!  Bullet dodged this  time.

Is it me being the overly protective momma that I am, or are movie trailers getting more and more risque?

Who Knew I Would Get An Award??

No - I didn't win an Oscar - I won something better (at least in the Blogger world)! Sarah from Notes from a Newlywed has given me the Liebster Award!

So you are wondering what is the Liebster Award?
Leibster is German and means 'dearest' or 'beloved' but it can also mean 'favorite'.

The idea of the Leibster Award is to bring attention to blogs with less than 200 followers.

The Rules are simple:

1. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.

2. Reveal your five picks for the award and let them know.

3. Post the award on your blog.

4. Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the blogshare - other bloggers.

5. Finally and the best rule of all.....have fun and spread the love!

So without further adieu, I am passing the Liebster Award on to my 5 favorite blogs with less than 200 followers:

Crystal - Life as a Seed

Angie - Life of a Housewife

Ashley - The Big White Farmhouse

Melissa - A Dozen Years Later

Ginny - Musings From a Breast Cancer Optimist

Each of these wonderful ladies write about their personal experiences and continually inspire me to be more open to my blogging world. They are also what I would consider to be "lifestyle" blogs and are not focused on just fashion, or food, etc. I hope these ladies know what a great job they do and that this GurleeGirrl enjoys visiting their blogs daily.

Now go on over and visit them ladies and spread some love.

Again, I want to thank Sarah for following along with me and all my GurleeGirrl Randomness!

Sometimes and Always

Sometimes I think I'm gonna plan out my Sometimes & Always better.
Always end up doing it on the fly!

Sometimes I have every intention of warming my car up before I leave work.
Always end up forgetting to do it.  My remote car starter was the best purchase I never use! FAIL

Sometimes I think I want to sign up for yoga class.
Always realize that I am booked everyday and can't find the time to squeeze another SCHEDULED activity into it.

Sometimes I think I'm gonna be a big winner at bingo.
Always end up needing just ONE more number!!!!  So frustrating!!!!!!!!

Now head on over to Megan's blog Mackey Madness to see what all the other ladies have to say!

Thumbs Up Monday

Hello blogging friends!  It's the start of a brand new week, which means it's Thumbs Up Monday!

I'm giving a thumb up to ME!  Yes, that's right, ME!  I hardly ever give credit to myself for my accomplishments, but today, I'm very proud of myself.

I have been on my Paleo Diet (at least my version of it) for a full week.  Basically, I have eaten nothing but meat, veggies and fruit.  I have not had anything with any added sugar or anything "processed".  Do you know how hard that is????  I have two young children who love to eat chips, cookies, fruit snacks, granola bars, candy bars, bread, etc., so my house is full of this stuff.  Well, this momma did not stray at all this week - not one cookie, piece of bread, bite of Mac-N-Cheese - NADA!!  I totally focused on the prize - winning the 2 weight loss competitions I'm in.  I also went to Jazzercise class 3 times this past week.  That is an accomplishment too!  Adding the third day is so hard for me - I love sleeping in on the weekends - and if I go to Jazzercise - I don't get to.

All of my hard work paid off.  I am excited to report that I lost 4 lbs. this week and came in 1st place in our weekly weigh in!! I am beyond happy with the results!  Yay me!!

What are you giving a Thumb Up to this week?

Randomness on Friday

Is it crazy that I'm pretty excited that it looks like NEON colors are making a comeback this spring!!!  Yes, I'm a lover of the 80's fashion.
Via

Looking forward to going to the Plymouth Ice Festival this weekend.  Since the forecast call for snow and cold temperatures tonight into tomorrow - I'll probably hit this up on Sunday.

I've started to sock some money away for the Bingo Bus trip scheduled for the weekend of April 28th.   No, I'm not a 60-year old woman, but being able to drink wine, play bingo and win some cool prizes makes this GurleeGirrl pretty happy.  Technically, the only time bingo is played is on the bus - as you are headed to first the Soaring Eagle Casino and then on for an overnight stay at the beautiful Little River Resort.  It's definitely a time to get my gambling on!! Let It Ride and Roulette are my favs.

This sports momma is actually looking forward to attending my daughter's volleyball and my son's double-header basketball games tomorrow.  Luckily all games are at the same facility.

Although I love the sequin shirt I'm wearing today, it is totally picking my arms and irritating the shizz out of me!  Damn my love of sequins!

Just checked out a newly released photo of Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins in the upcoming film Dark Shadows (set to be released May 11, 2012).  All I can say is out of the three Barnabas' - he's not my fave.  Tim Burton made him look way too "Tim Burton-esque" for my taste. Fail.  Of course I'll still see the movie - I do love me some Johnny Depp.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

What's Your Color?

As we know, I love a good link-up.  I stumbled upon The Nail Files link-up that is hosted by Vicki and Tara and have wanted to participate - but I'm never prepared.  Well today is different.  Not only are my nails freshly painted, I actually remembered to take a pic with the polish!

This is so not a typical GurleeGirrl go-to color, but it's what I get when I let GTuck pick out a color at Meijer, after a night of bowling.  I'm normally a red or pink kinda girl, but I was willing to give it a try.

Color:  Sally Hansen Hard as Nails - 680 Frozen Solid
Top Coat: Seche Vite Top Coat

I think it turned out pretty good - the color is very light and shimmery, and not too much for my short nails.  The bottle was a very cheap $1.99 - Can you say sweetness!

Love that it totally matches my sequined shirt today - total bonus! Good choice GTuck!

I really am in love with the Seche Vite Top Coat.  It's fast-drying and normally protects my nails pretty good.

Please let me know if you have a favorite top coat, a favorite color or favorite brand.  I would love to try something new.

Now go and check out some of the other link-ups too.  You just might find some inspiration for your own nails - or at least find a color you will be dying to try.

It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!

When I got to work this morning, I had an email waiting from my daughter Ashley. I hope it puts a smile on your face like it did mine :)

Now - I just got to get that damn song out of my head!

What's In Your Bag? Link Up

At any given time my purse can weigh 5 - 10 lbs.  And when I say purse, I think it's more like a bag.  It's pretty big - and always full!

This is my current bag - it's a red Kate Spade.

If you were to peek inside it might look something like this:

And when I emptied it, this is what I found:

1.  Phone Case
2.  Change Purse
3.  Makeup Bag
4.  Kindle Fire and Charging Plug
5.  Wallet
6.  (2) Keys - Cars & House
7.  Checkbook
8.  Pain Reliever
9.  Beauty & The Beast Postcards
10. (2) Kleenex
11.  Envelope full of Christmas Receipts
12.  Nail File
13.  Key Card for Work
14.  (4) Nail Polish

How does your purse compare?  Do you carry more or less?

Head over to The Branches and see what Becky's got in her bag!

So What! Wednesday

It's Hump Day! This week has been busy and now the weekend isn't too far off!  It's cold as ballz today, expected high of 27 degrees, but at least its not snowing.  Ash looked too cute bundled up for school this morning, don't ya think?

Linking up over at Life After I "Dew" for So What! Wednesday.

So What! if my abs are still sore from Monday, I plan on attacking them again tonight!  They best learn this momma is gonna be working out hardcore.

So What! if I'm missing some of my favorite foods while I'm on my Paleo diet.  The new meals I've experienced this week are To Die For - and best of all HEALTHY!

So What! if I cried while watching Beauty and the Beast for the billionth time.  The ballroom scene gets me every time.  That Angela Lansbury can sing a love song :)

So What! if I love my Dr. Who calendar a little too much!  Unfortunately, all I'll have is this calendar to tie me over until the new episodes on BBC start this fall.  Thanks for the sweet present GTuck!

So What! if I get excited every time I hear a Rick Springfield song playing on the radio.  I fell in love with him when I was 8 years old and still love him today.

What are YOU saying So What! to today?

Tattoo or Not to Tattoo

We all know that tattoos are not for everyone.  When I was younger, I always associated tattoos with motorcycle gangs.  If I seen someone with a tattoo it would actually scare me.  Never, in a million years, did I think I'd ever get one!

Fast forward 30 years - I find myself wanting to get a tattoo.  Now keep in mind I used to have really bad skin allergies.  Thankfully the older I get, the better this becomes.  My mom always filled me with fear that I'd have a horrible reaction to the ink and it would scar me and look hideous.  I did some research about skin reactions (there are very few), and decided to ignore mom's guidance and just do it!

Now I didn't want to get just anything.  I figured if I was going to have it forever, it better be something that I loved.  After searching for pictures for awhile, it finally hit me what I really wanted.  A ladybug.  Why a ladybug?  Well, because after I had my daughter, I nicknamed her my little ladybug.  I actually went crazy with them.  They are everywhere in my house.  She was and still is my Lucky Little Ladybug.  So in her honor, this momma got her first tattoo.  It's located on my left shoulder.

Tattoo number 2 came a short time later.  It is not as symbolic to me as the first, but I still love it.  I say the main star is me, the blue one is for Colton (my son) and the pink one is for Ash (my daughter).  I had trouble with the yellow on this one.  It scabbed up on me and when it fell off - it took the yellow with it!  I've thought about getting it touched up - maybe when I get my 3rd.  This one is located on the top of my right foot.

Tattoo number 3 is coming soon.  I know it will be the most meaningful - as I want to incorporate a breast cancer ribbon into it.  I am a 2-year, Stage 3 survivor.  It will be a reminder of the fight I endured, the fight ahead to stay healthy and a reminder to live life fully because it's much too short!

Do you have any tattoos?  Would you ever get one?  What do you think of them?

Go check out Raven's blog A Momma's Desires and Pacifiers to check out all of her tattoos and take a peek at the other link-ups.  These ladies have some beautiful ink!

Sometime and Always

It's Tuesday and time to link up with Megan over at Mackey Madness for another edition of Sometimes and Always.  Check it out!

Sometimes when I'm shopping online, I end up with about 10 things in my cart that I think I need.
Always end up just dumping my cart.  I'm learning I don't NEED everything.

Sometimes I plan on waking up early to workout.
Always end up staying in bed!  This girl just can't do mornings!

Sometimes I find a recipe online that I want to try.
Always end up filing it in my recipe notebook and forget all about it.

Sometimes I hate the rain/snow/cold here in Michigan.
Always am glad that my my kids get to experience all 4 seasons!

Sometimes I let my daughter use one of my "fancy" water glasses when we are eating dinner.
Always makes her feel extra special.

Thumbs Up Monday

It's Monday and we all know what that means - it's time to let everyone know what we are giving a thumb up to this week.

I'm letting the boys run the show this week.

You've seem him before, and we love that he's back - GTuck - the "Brains" of our group.  The boy can fix a computer and program a universal remote like no other.  Without him, this GurleeGirrl would be lost.

GTuck is giving two Thumbs Up this week!  The first thumb up is for the awesome time he had playing Call of Duty online with his son Jaden. Who doesn't love some Father -N- Son bonding time?

The second thumb up is for our trip to Outback Steakhouse where he enjoyed his Caesar Salad, Prime Rib and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. And because dinner isn't complete without dessert, we split this bad boy!  In my opinion, it should get it's own Thumb Up!  It is Deeeeelicious!!!!!!!!!!!

Next we meet Ben, the "Brawn" of the group.  If you need someone to build you a house, teach you how to shoot a gun, or you want someone to take you camping, he's your guy.

Ben is giving a thumb up to his ice fishing trip this weekend.   The boy has been chomping at the bits to get out there.  May the fish be plenty my friend!  Looking forward to a fish fry when you get back!

And now, meet Just Joe - captain of the bowling team -  and the "Funny" one of the group.  Unfortunately, Just Joe is also the quiet one of our group, so some may not know he holds this title, but when I can get him talking, the boy uses his witty charm to crack me up!

Just Joe is giving a thumb up to Evil Twin Beards.

No, that's not his Evil Twin, that's Just Joe.

What are you giving a Thumb Up to this week?

January 13, 2012

Randomness on Friday

So bowling did not go as well as I hoped!  Unfortunately we established some pretty high averages - which means we had to give the opposing team 260 pins PER game.  We ended up losing the first two games.  I bowled under my average both games - and so did GTuck.  It just wasn't our night.  However, we won the third game, so it wasn't a complete loss.  Plus, I get to hang out with some of my favorite people.

The Pretty Girls

Very excited to see Beauty and the Beast 3D this week!  It is my ALL TIME favorite Disney movie.  Looking forward to seeing the short, Tangled Ever After prior to the movie too!  This is going to be awesome.  Kids are excited as well.

To say I have an obsession with the Beast is an understatement.  My collection of Beast merchandise is almost embarrassing.  Who says a 38 year old woman can't use a Beast pencil at work?

Starting a new diet plan Sunday.  The Paleo Diet.  I'm pumped to get this party started.  Would love to hear your thoughts/reviews - GOOD or BAD.

And to my blog stalker Sami - you and Marky Mark win my:

What are your plans for the weekend?

January 12, 2012

Bowling, Bowling, Bowling

Thursday has got to be my favorite day of the week.  Why you ask?  Well, not only is The Vampire Diaries on, it's my bowling night!

I know what you are thinking.  Bowling?  Who bowls?

Well this GurleeGirrl does!  And did I mention, I'm pretty good at it.  Well, I'm not awesome or anything, but I'm certainly not embarrassed of my scores.

Let me say, the league is 9-Pin No-Tap, which basically means if you knock over 9 pins on your first ball, you score a strike, which is normally 10 pins.  So, I may not get all 10-pin strikes, but I do pretty good.

This particular night, GTuck happened to bowl his 300 game.  A 300 game, for those non-bowlers out there, is when you bowl a PERFECT game.  That means you get 12 strikes in a row. That is pretty incredible.  I haven't done it.  Came close a few times, but just haven't been able to pull it off.  To say I'm jealous would be an understatement!  Well, at least the boy is on my team.  I had a respectable 228.  It works for me :)

So wish us luck tonight - Just Joe, Jenny Jenny, GurleeGirrl and GTuck - we may need it!
