Thumbs Up Monday

Happy Monday to everyone!!! I had an awesome weekend - weather was beyond nice - and I'm ready to kick off another wonderful week with Thumbs Up Monday!

To get us started we have Chrissy and Nik.  They are giving Double Thumbs today!

Chrissy is giving a thumb up to Taylor Kitsch (a.k.a. Tim Riggens / John Carter) and for our upcoming Whirlyball game we have scheduled for her birthday this week!  ** I agree 100% with her choices too! **

Nik is giving a thumb up to the Pistons beating the Lakers last week and for the artichoke dip at the Sports Locker Bar & Grill.

I'm gonna finish it up this week by giving a Thumb Up to me! I am so proud of myself for taking 2nd Place (out of 18) in our Biggest Loser Competition at work. I lost 19.5 lbs. in 8 weeks. I won $108 - so I plan on rewarding myself with something extra nice this week! I want to thank all of my family, friends and blog-friends for encouraging me to stay on track and for putting up with my craziness! My hard work paid off!

Thumbs Up Monday

It's Thumbs Up Monday!  And today, I'm letting my birthday boy take this one!  Well actually, his official birthday is tomorrow, but he has been and will be celebrating all week.  The joys of being 7!

Colton is giving one thumb up to having an awesome birthday party at Zap Zone this past weekend!  He thought it was the best party ever. I actually agree! 

The party ran smooth and everyone had a great time.  I wouldn't think twice about hosting another party there.  They have everything scheduled out and kept us moving the whole time.  I never sat down once in the 2 hours we were there.

The other thumb up is for all of his new birthday presents.  To say that he is spoiled, just doesn't cover it.  He has some favorites, like his new iPod Touch, his Aaron Rodgers jersey, his Peyton Manning jersey, his Harry Potter movies and all of his new Lego sets just to name a few.  We are truly blessed with an amazing family, extended family and friends.  It was a birthday to remember.

Thumbs Up Monday

Oh what weekend!!! The weather here in Michigan is beyond awesome for the month of February! It has been sunny and mild (high 40's / low 50's).  I was able to take the dog for a walk and go for a hike at Kensington.

So on this beautiful Monday, I'm giving a Thumb Up to the Michigan Weather!

Thumbs Up Monday

Today I’m giving 4 thumbs up! 

   The first one is to me for being in 1^st place OVERALL in my weight loss competition – with a 4.77% weight loss percentage.  Also, won my side bet weigh-in with a co-worker.  Yes, I’m on a roll!

The second one is to getting FREE Scentsy products by co-hosting a party with my lovely sister.  I really didn’t do anything but show up, but she is just too sweet and is sharing the credits with me.  Love her.

The third one is for the Tigers signing Prince Fielder.  This is HUGE news her in Michigan.  

And finally, the fourth one is for the 90 minute massage I bought myself.  Yes, I totally deserve it.

Thumbs Up Monday

Hello blogging friends!  It's the start of a brand new week, which means it's Thumbs Up Monday! 

I'm giving a thumb up to ME!  Yes, that's right, ME!  I hardly ever give credit to myself for my accomplishments, but today, I'm very proud of myself. 

I have been on my Paleo Diet (at least my version of it) for a full week.  Basically, I have eaten nothing but meat, veggies and fruit.  I have not had anything with any added sugar or anything "processed".  Do you know how hard that is????  I have two young children who love to eat chips, cookies, fruit snacks, granola bars, candy bars, bread, etc., so my house is full of this stuff.  Well, this momma did not stray at all this week - not one cookie, piece of bread, bite of Mac-N-Cheese - NADA!!  I totally focused on the prize - winning the 2 weight loss competitions I'm in.  I also went to Jazzercise class 3 times this past week.  That is an accomplishment too!  Adding the third day is so hard for me - I love sleeping in on the weekends - and if I go to Jazzercise - I don't get to.   

All of my hard work paid off.  I am excited to report that I lost 4 lbs. this week and came in 1st place in our weekly weigh in!! I am beyond happy with the results!  Yay me!!

Thumbs Up Monday

It's Monday - what better way to start the week than with a Thumb Up!

Jenny Jenny is giving a thumb up to starting our new weight loss competition. We will be participating in a 12-week program that will end on April 1st.  A very nice cash prize ($$$) is up for grabs.  And who can't use a few extra hundred dollars?!  To be the good sport that I am, I wish Jenny Jenny, GTuck and Chrissy good luck...but FYI - I plan on winning that prize!   This GurleeGirrl wants a new Coach purse (and smaller tummy & thinner thighs)!

I'm giving a thumb up to kicking butt at work today!  Not only did I finish my management reports early, I have two full days to tweak my PowerPoint presentations!  That means NO STRESS on me. 

p.s.  Leave it to Jenny Jenny to give us a Thumb Down moment this past week.  My girl showed up in the wrong bowling shirt.  Didn't she know, that shirt is so last year?!?!

Thumbs Up Monday

It's Monday - so it's time to find out what we are giving a thumb up to this week:

GTuck is giving a thumb up because his Fantasy Football team will be playing in the Super Bowl this year.  All his hard work and hours of studying his line-up has paid off!  Good job boy! 

Chrissy is giving a thumb up to earning 18% on all of her sales through the end of the year.  That means my girl can make some $$$$$.  I thank her for my $8 celebratory drink. I didn't pick the most expensive drink on purpose.  Just seems to be my taste. :)
