Thumb Up Monday!

I've been really missing my Thumb Ups Monday, so I decided I would start this week off with one!

This week I'm giving a Thumb Up to:

• My awesome Bingo Bus weekend!  There were winners (and losers) -some may have drank too many cocktails - others may have eaten too many buffet meals - but we ALL had a great time!! 
• My short 2-1/2 day work week!  I will be heading to Traverse City this weekend for my cousin's wedding and will be making it a mini vacation by treating the kids to a few days at the Great Wolf's Lodge.  This will be a treat for me too!

On a serious note, due to the results of my C/T Scan being questionable, tomorrow I have a PET Scan scheduled in the afternoon to check a spot they've been watching on my lung.  Any and all good thoughts, prayers and well wishes are appreciated!  As always, I'm nervous and hate the idea of getting/being sick again - and waiting out test results is extremely nerve racking.

It's Friday!! My weekend is a few short hours from starting! CAN NOT WAIT!

I'm really loving this soft pale coral and see me wearing it often this summer. 

Now on to some Friday randomness:

• I created a new Playlist on my iPhone today and have been rocking out all day.  It's awesome.
• Am wondering what the heck is up with this crappy weather.  Near freezing this morning and forecasted to be 77 next Wednesday!

• I am not happy that since the new Blogger switchover a ton of my favorite reads are now blocked by my company's filter for being "sex" sites!  This seriously peeves me off.
• As I mentioned Wednesday, I am super excited for my Bingo Bus trip this weekend.  It's only overnight - but it will be a blast.  I'm hoping to win this time!
• Tonight is Spring Fling at my son's school.  It's basically their biggest fundraiser of the year and they set up little games in each classroom and the kids can win prizes.  I look forward to going every year.  This year, as of this morning, he doesn't want to go! I' hoping he changes his mind - momma wants to watch the kiddos have some fun!
• Am really looking forward to some upcoming movies this summer - starting with The Avengers next week!



• I'll wrap it up with a video from Maniac - who I'll be seeing Monday night!

I'm loving my Lil Sis who is celebrating her birthday today!  Happy Birthday Missa - Love You!!!

I'm loving that I am going on my long-anticipated Bingo Bus trip this weekend!  Hopefully I win some money :)

I'm loving the awesome new nail polishes coming out for Spiderman, Dark Shadows (the movie) and Vintage Minnie Mouse!

I'm loving the Fifty Shades Trilogy!! Seriously - who knew domination could be so sweet?!? LOL

Now on to some Friday Randomness:

• I have been waiting since January to see The Lucky One - and it will happen this weekend!

• I had a rough day this Wednesday and my sister dropped off some beautiful roses and a sweet, sweet card.  I love her and am so thankful she is my Lil Sis.

• I'm looking  forward to attending my niece's bowling birthday party this weekend.  Nothing cuter than seeing all the kids trying to bowl!
• I was beyond happy that I didn't get selected for jury duty!!  I did have to put in a "full" day of waiting in the jury selection room, but luckily I was never but in the box for questioning.
    
• My trip to Old Navy this week was a total bust.  Most of the items I went looking for (seen online), they didn't have, and if they did, only in XS - which I am not!  However, I did score a few things for the kids, so it wasn't a total waste.  
• So glad that Jenny Jenny is going to cut my hair this weekend!  It's getting to long and heavy and isn't as "perky" as it normally is.  Plus - since it's getting warmer, that means I start getting blonder ;)
• Just Joe's mom dropped by bowling last night, and brought GTuck a present - Banana Nut cake with Whipped Butter Cream frosting. 

I even got a slice!

And with that sweetness, I'll end it - Have a GREAT weekend!!!

So What Wednesday!

So What if I covered my eyes through most of the frightening scenes during Cabin In The Woods last night, I still sat through the movie, which is huge for me since I do not like scary movies!
So What if I'm praying that I don't have to report for jury duty tomorrow - civic duty or not, sitting and waiting with no phone will kill me.

So What if I'm excited to go to Old Navy tonight.  I have a 40% off coupon and with all of the items I've fallen in love with online, that coupon will come in handy!

So What if I'm missing Jazzercise tonight - I'm going biking on the trails and will be getting a great workout doing that!

So What if break down this weekend and make myself some Golden Graham Smores.  They are just so darn good!

Do You Know Who You Look Like?

So Raven is having a link up today to reveal who your celebrity doppelganger. 

So I uploaded a photo and this is what I got:

Now, I've never tried to hide the fact that I'm nearing 40 - but come on - Madeleine Albright?!?!?! WTF! Danny Glover???  All I can say is nice ;)

And really, seriously these are the best photos of these celebrities the site has??? Britney is hot - but here she's a hot mess!

So I uploaded another photo into another finder with crossed fingers in hopes that I would get a better selection - since it's a more current photo:

Then I hit the JACK POT!  I'd have to say these ladies are all beautiful, and I'd be pretty ok if someone told me I looked like any of them.  However, I think it is still a fail - but a better fail - not a "you look like a hideous woman or man" fail though.

My first question is who is Delta Goodrem??? I guess she is a Australian singer/songwriter who is MOST famous now for dating Nick Jonas.  Good job Delta!

Next photo I used is not my best pic - looks like I'm not wearing any makeup?!? This can't be me ;)

And SCORE once again!  Number one match is she who is the one-time-married-to-hottie Ryan Reynolds?!? Yes - I'll take it!

So, bottom line - the doppelganger finders weren't really on spot for me.  Some were flattering - but wrong. 

I've never thought I looked like anyone famous, however, I've been told I resemble:

Besides being blonde and having dominate cheeks, I don't see it.

Weekend Recap

This weekend was a well needed restful one!  Friday consisted of relaxing and watching a marathon of The Walking Dead.

It's safe to say I am HOOKED.  Scared - but hooked.

Saturday I slept in and spent a large part of the day in my PJs reading my new book.

I had to check out what all the hype is about this book.  Well needless to say, I'll have the book done tonight.  I love a good trashy romance book - but this kinda takes it one step further.  If there really is a movie in the works - it's going to be awfully uncomfortable to sit through - unless they alter it.  Just my take.

Saturday night I was invited over to Jenny Jenny's parent's home for a night of card playing.  As usual, I lost, but had so much fun!  The night was full of wine, laughs and chatting. 

Sunday morning I woke up early to hit the gym.  Finally signed up at Powerhouse.  Did a tour, treadmill, free weights and leg machines.  Ended it with 2 Miles on the elliptical (a record for me!!!)  I was pooped! 

Grocery shopping followed and a visit with my mom.  Ended the day with Kafta Kabob from Red Olive and season finale of  Eastbound and Down and some more Walking Dead. 

It was a GREAT weekend!  How was yours?

Is it just me, or did we just have a Friday the 13th not that long ago?  Anyhoo, I'm not superstitous, but I find it very funny how I think it heard it mentioned on the radio 2 times on my 10 minute drive in to work.

This week I raided my daughter's polish collection and chose:

What's Your MOOD? Color Changing Polish in Pink

It's more of a hot pink in person, and I LOVE it.  It is a matte polish and reminds me of a candy shell.  I haven't noticed the color changing, other than when it went from wet to dry.  So - unless my mood NEVER changes, which I can guarantee you it does, this polish doesn't work ;)

Randomness on Friday:

• I am beyond impressed with Old Navy's new spring/summer clothes!  I am resisting the urge to hit one up and load up!  Some of these outfits are just too perfect.

•  I totally need to clean my Jeep out.  There are crumbs everywhere in my backseat.  I spilled the movie popcorn in the front seat and pie crust is in the back, along with candy wrappers from the kids stuffing them in the doors!!  It's a MESS.
• It's time to take the Easter decorations down, but I'm dreading it because the house will look so plain. 
• At the movies on Tuesday, we had a little fun with pictures:

He didn't share the same love of Barnabus (Johnny Depp) as Ash & I did.

• After watching just one episode of The Walking Dead - I think it might be too scary for me!!  I was scared and anxious the entire time. OMG is this show graphic.  YIKES 

• I am so happy I finally got all of the sweets from Easter out of my house!  The people at work have been thanking me all week for the goodies!
• I'm totally loving this song by One Direction.  Thank goodness I have a 10 year old daughter that I can use as my excuse when it's blaring in my car!  However - I just gotta say - 1) dude is wearing red pants - not a fan and 2) these boys shouldn't be frolicking in the water and on the beach together - makes me laugh.
